Take the length times the width of your quilt to figure square inches. If your quilt measures 62” x 80”, that equals 4960 square inches. 4960 x .02¢ = $99.20. Batting needed is 2 yards @ $10.00 per yard, batting charge would be $20.00, total charge for this size would be $119.20 plus PA sales tax of 6% as applicable.

Quilt preparation

  • Quilt top and back should be ironed and loosely folded or hung on a hanger
  • Quilt back must be 5” larger on all sides than quilt top
  • Remove all selvage edges from quilt back and outer edges.   If back is pieced, use 1” seam allowance and iron seam open.  Back must be squared up.
  • All seams should be checked and secured.  It is recommended to do a line of    stay-stitching around the perimeter of quilt especially on quilts without borders.
  • Clip all threads on quilt top and back
  • Iron seams well on quilt top and back, if pieced
  • Fullness in quilt and borders may result in puckering during the quilting process, all efforts will be made to ease any fullness as quilted

A fee may be charged to get the quilt top and back machine ready.
